Many Pakistani politicians have used Aafia Siddiqui’s case to try and garner favor with Pakistani voters (Including Imran Khan) because her release is very important to the people of Pakistan. However, none of these Pakistani politicians have been able to exert any strategic diplomatic influence on the USA to strike some sort of deal to get her released. Whoever manages to strike that deal will be incredibly popular not just within Pakistan but with all the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Maybe the Taliban in Afghanistan could negotiate her release, Insha’Allah.
