A History of Debt By Anthropologist David Graeber Audio Documentary | 2 Episodes I really enjoyed listening to this. I don’t agree with everything David Graeber says, particularly when it comes to the origins of money (David Graeber argues that money originates from debt rather than from barter systems that eventually culminated in gold being seen by humanity as the best type of money). I think the Austrians make a stronger case for the origins of money, but nevertheless, there’s a lot to like about Graebers’ work . Particularly when he highlights the evils of interest and its link to human suffering / slavery.
