Given that Candace Owens is talking about the Frankists (an 18th-century cult founded by Jacob Frank, a Polish-Jewish mystic), I would like to draw your attention to their connection with Rabbi Sabbatai Zevi (17th century) because there is a historical and ideological link between them. Rabbi Sabbatai Zevi (1626–1676) was born in the Ottoman Empire and, in 1648, declared himself the long-awaited Jewish Messiah.

His messianic movement, known as Sabbateanism, attracted a large following across the Jewish diaspora. However, in 1666, after being threatened with execution by the Ottoman Sultan, Zevi converted to Islam, which led to widespread disillusionment among his followers. Despite his conversion, many of his adherents continued to believe in his messianic mission, giving rise to a sect of secret Sabbateans who practiced Kabbalistic Judaism in private but publicly claimed to be Muslims. The Muslims refer to them as Dönme, or fake Muslims. Many of the leaders of the Turkish nationalist ‘Young Turks’ movement, which eventually dismantled the Ottoman Caliphate, trace their lineage back to the Dönme.

Jacob Frank claimed to receive revelations and teachings that he described as the “true Torah,” which often involved radical and antinomian practices. Like Rabbi Sabbatai Zevi before him, Frank also led his followers into conversion, but instead of Islam, he encouraged them to convert to Christianity in public while maintaining their secretive Jewish mystical beliefs and practices in private.

Jacob Frank saw himself as a successor to Rabbi Sabbatai Zevi, believing that his teachings and leadership were a continuation of Sabbateanism. Frank claimed to complete the work that Zevi had started, including the idea of transgression as a means to spiritual enlightenment.

Both movements were characterized by antinomianism (the belief that religious moral laws can be set aside under certain conditions), and both saw their leaders as messianic figures who would bring about redemption in unconventional ways.

Do you understand what putting aside moral laws means? It means viewing murder, rape, fornication, adultery, pedophilia, usury, theft, and all sorts of sins as fair game in the pursuit of a goal. It reminds me of Aleister Crowley (one of the most famous and controversial figures in the history of Western esotericism and the occult) and his most famous principle, known as the Law of Thelema. It is encapsulated in the phrase: ‘Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.’ In other words, do what you want despite the moral restrictions set by God for the benefit of mankind. Follow your whims and desires; be your own god.

Candace is claiming that Theodor Herzl (the father of modern political Zionism) has a link to the Frankists. I don’t know if that’s true; I haven’t looked into it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were accurate, given what the Zionist project has done in pursuit of creating and maintaining their Jewish ethno-state. Morality means nothing to the Zionists.
