Shaykh Shadee Elmasry does not allow kids to run around in the mosque. He emphasizes that the sanctity and serene environment of the mosque should be protected. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also said that parents should not bring children to the mosque that cannot yet behave properly and control themselves. Bringing children to the mosque to instill a love for it is a noble intention, but if you cannot control them, it reflects poorly on your parenting and disturbs the peace.
